Time for a change

The “peace jungle” website and concept are undergoing change.

My underlying purpose in beginning this work and in continuing it the way in which I have has been to say something both substantive and positive. There is so much negative stuff going and so much discourse about it—a lot of it quite meaningful and needed—that there is really nothing of import or even of use for me to add.

I took the website offline toward the end of last year and have kept it offline for so long because my blog posts started to fall so deeply into the negative, taking me along with them, that I could not figure out how to retrieve either the posts or even my own attitude. This is also something that has happened before in previous iterations of my work.

This time, however, after stepping back and focusing in particular on my own individual story, the lights seem to be coming back on, so to speak. They also seem brighter somehow than I remember them at any previous time. There’s still a lot of reflecting and writing going on. So, the ultimate outcome might end up being more of a book than a website or an essay. Am tending toward and also writing the book right now.
